Sharjah airport

The first video clip of Sharjah airport in 1937, called Air Outpost,  shows a lot of interesting information. The population then was mostly  Arab, with a small group of Indian and Iranian businessman and it shows us when the airport  was built in the shape of a fort and it showed the old design of buildings in Sharjah and it was operated by British people . The first airplane which was arriving at the airport an H. P. 42, which was built by Handley Page in England and it was for Imperial Airways and was described as being 4 days out of  England; it was going to India & Australia. This airplane had a wonderful safety record, with no accidents in civilian service. Arab businessmen were seen handing over a cargo of pearls which before air travel would have travelled by sea to its Indian destination. And the mechanics were working at midnight, servicing the plane for the next journey  450-mile eastwards and it showed the meteorological station gathering information on wind speeds.

The second color video showed people dancing in Dubai airport, freely. At Dubai airport we could see people from many different countries and cultures.

Culture diversity

Most people you would have met in Abu Dhabi 50 years ago were of the same culture  the same language, Arabic, the same religion, Islam, and the same traditions such as camel racing and  falconry. This culture still exists but there are now many people from different cultures.

Reflection

The graph of the  UAE at the end of 19 century  was 12.2. My suggestion on this point is that the raise rye was harder than those days. It was much higher population today, in part because of the high birth rate between Arab families and the life become easier than before .and the US State Department reckons over 8M.  The percent for Filipinos,  3. 4% in the graph , is probably now much higher  because  we have a lot of Asian people are working here and the number of home increased because the number of  UAE family become higher
